My Best Tips on Working from Home
Updated: May 6, 2020
If you have the privilege of being able to work from home, what are you doing to keep your sanity? Here are some tips I learned from my own experience! Let me know which is your favorite by commenting at the end of the post!

Morning
✔ get into the routine of waking up at the same time every day— this helps your body stay in sync and energized, so you're not constantly waking up groggy
✔ give yourself enough time to do one thing you love before beginning work, so that you always have something to look forward to when you get out of bed in the morning (yoga, reading, journaling, etc.)
✔ get ready for the day— change out of your pjs, brush your hair, wash your face— you'll feel more motivated and take your work more seriously if you dress and feel the part
Afternoon
✔ stay productive using the Pomodoro Technique —
this hyper-focus method was created by Francesco Cirillo and it works by completing your work in short bursts of 25 mins on and 5 mins off
✔ if you're feeling uninspired, change up your location/environment by moving outside, into another room, opening a window, or turning on/off a light
✔ take a scheduled break to move your body & grab some nourishing lunch— this gives you a chance to take your mind off work and reenergize for the second half of the day
Evening
✔ at the end of your work day, prioritize your three biggest goals for the next day and write them down on a sticky note or somewhere you can see them
✔ organize and clean your desk space so you start the next morning out on the right food— a messy space can leave you anxious and uninspired
✔ establish a time to "clock out," shut the laptop, and enjoy some leisure time— because you're at home, it's really easy to work over time and have your work life bleed over into your personal life, so do you best to keep them separate
There you have it! Which tip are you most excited to try? Have any other to share?
